The #1 Work Email Rule
I’m going to cut to the chase here -
Everything you write in emails at work must be “forward friendly.”
The Problem: You never know who else inside or outside of your organization is reading your original email.
This happens frequently. One person may add others to the thread, sometimes more senior to you. Another may forward it around without your knowledge. Sometimes, “entitled” or “stupid” emails are shared simply to poke fun at the sender behind their backs.
The Solution: Craft sentences that reflect your professionalism all the time. And I mean, all the time, or it will come bite you in the butt.
